Support Dan in his Fight Against PSC
Donation protected
As many of you know, Dan Carr, firefighter/EMT of 14 years and member of IAFF Local 1715 and most importantly husband, father, son and friend, has been diagnosed with Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC), a rare chronic liver disease that is currently incurable. Initially it was projected in approximately 10 years Dan would need a transplant. The disease has progressed much quicker than anticipated and Dan is now currently in need of a liver transplant and has begun that process.
Unfortunately this all needs to occur in Pittsburgh which is 2 hours from Dan's home. With outpatient appointments scheduled frequently and multiple trips needing to occur both pre and post transplant we are asking for your help. Dan has a wife and 2 children. Hotels and travel expenses will be excessive during this time and through his recovery process and of course he will be unable to continue full-time employment during this time.
Funds raised from this GoFundMe will go directly to Dan and Kelsey to help offset travel expenses including fuel, hotels and meals, as well as childcare costs while Kelsey is by Dan's side during his procedures and recovery.
Let’s rally together and show Dan the strength of our community! Your support and kindness could truly make a difference.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
