On Tuesday, December 23rd, our neighbors Dan and Heather experienced a devastating kitchen fire that left their home severely damaged and uninhabitable. In the chaos, they lost everything they owned and, heartbreakingly, their beloved dog. Multiple fire departments responded, but the damage means it will be 6–9 months before they can return home. Right now, Dan and Heather are staying in a hotel, with only the clothes on their backs and facing an uncertain future.
As a neighborhood, we are coming together to support Dan and Heather in every way we can. Neighbors are collecting donations, gift cards for restaurants, gas, and home goods, and encouraging cards to lift their spirits. We are assembling a package filled with love and support, but we know they will need much more to get back on their feet. The funds raised here will go directly toward helping Dan and Heather replace essential items lost in the fire, from clothing and toiletries to basic household goods, as they begin the long process of recovery and rebuilding.
Please join us in showing Dan and Heather that they are not alone. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in their lives. Thank you for coming together to support our neighbors during this incredibly difficult time.
