Help Coach Dan Collins with Life-Changing Spinal Cord Injury
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and kind strangers,
On December 17, 2024, Dan Collins suffered a serious car accident resulting in a severe spinal cord injury, leaving him paralyzed from the shoulders down. As you can imagine, this life-changing event has drastically altered his mobility and independence, and our family faces immense uncertainty about his future and quality of life. While we continue to pray and have witnessed incredible miracles in his recovery, his doctors have shared that his path to recovery is uncertain and the likelihood of significant improvement is small. This reality means that the cost of his care and support will be substantial for the rest of his life.
Anyone who knows my dad knows he’s more than just a coach. As a high school football coach for nearly 40 years, he has been a mentor, a friend, and a dedicated leader who has inspired countless athletes and students. His generosity, guidance, and big heart have always been at the center of everything he does. His leadership, dedication, and passion for the game have inspired generations, leaving an indelible mark on the community he loves so deeply.
Although my parents have medical insurance, it unfortunately, doesn’t cover critical spinal rehabilitation or many of the expenses associated with long-term spinal cord injury recovery. We’re hoping to raise funds for the rehabilitation therapies, adaptive equipment, home modifications, and ongoing care my dad will need. Every contribution will directly help us navigate these challenging financial hurdles.
Dan has always been a source of strength and inspiration to others, and now he needs us to be that for him. Every donation, prayer, and message of encouragement means the world to us. With your help, we can ensure that Dan gets the care he needs and show him he's not facing this alone.
Please consider donating, no matter the amount, and sharing this campaign. Thank you for standing with us in faith, love, and hope. Your prayers, love, and support mean more than words can express and remind us that we’re not alone.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Dan's family
