Dan was diagnosed with brain cancer at the peak of Covid in 2020. He underwent surgery to remove the tumor and endured multiple weeks of strong radiation. Unfortunately, the cancer that he has, is not something that goes away. But this treatment allowed him to move forward with his life.

Approximately a year ago, Dan started experiencing an onset of seizures again. Further scanning showed that not much had progressed at that time but the evidence of the tumor was still there.

Fast forward to November of 2024, Dan started experiencing some debilitating symptoms that impacted his mobility. It was confirmed that there was swelling on the brain and the tumor was causing his recent symptoms. A treatment plan was put in place immediately with a wonderful oncology team.

Unfortunately, Dan’s health continued to decline and over the last week we were informed that no further treatment would be effective and that the cancer has grown to be too aggressive. He has been put under the care of hospice and we are doing everything we can to make him comfortable at home and create a supportive and peaceful environment.

Hospice care comes with an incredibly overwhelming amount of emotional, physical and financial stress. We are hoping to raise funds to help with expenses related to Dan’s care to assure that he is comfortable and well taken care of.
