Hi my name is Dave Sterling. My self and the rest of his work family are trying to help raise funds for my friend and co-worker Dan Rowland. These funds will go towards countless things affected by this accident while he cannot work such as medical bills, mortgage, groceries, gas, etc...

There is no timetable for his recovery. The Stress of the financial situation would be enough to delay even the strongest of

comebacks.

Dan has been a pillar of Renntech for over 18 years. His dedication and loyalty has set the bar for what you would want in a friend, husband, father, and employee.

On 1/4/24, Dan was out in the field doing an irrigation job when tragedy struck. After working countless hours between his full-time machinist job at Renntech and his own irrigation business he is trying to get off the ground, he fell ill out in the field. Possibly Caused by a stroke or seizure, his kidneys and body had worn down beyond belief. His body finally gave in, causing him to pass out.

While passing out, he struck his head on a pump and was lying unconscious in a ditch motionless with his legs slightly elevated above his head for over 8 hours. Due to minimal blood flow, this caused severe trauma to his legs. A surgery is the only thing that saved his legs. On top of that surgery, he also needed an operation to his mouth to repair damage to his tongue. He is now going through dialysis for his kidneys. He currently has lost the use of his left arm due to being pinned between a well and privacy fence for this duration causing severe nerve damage. Countless hours of physical therapy just to walk and gain use of his arm are in his future.

This accident has much deeper effects than most of us will ever encounter.

These complications and therapy all equal time lost while trying to provide for his family. A family that has already been battling his wife's cancer for years now. When she was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Dan put his already strong work ethic into another gear. He is her support system and beyond. A support system that is now severely compromised in every way from financially, transportation to chemo therapy's, and just overall moral support.

We wont let his best qualities and strengths be his down fall, we cant!
