Support Dan: A Veteran in Need of Care

I have decided to make a gofundme for Dan Timmons. He has shown our family love and support and now it’s our turn. He gave me this history to give you all some background.

From Dan:

Let me tell you of my situation. It started about two and a half years ago (2021). I had a bowel blockage and had to have immediate surgery. During the diagnosis they discovered I also had pancreatic cancer. During the ensuring time I had several rounds of chemo and I dropped down to 145 pounds and had a feeding tube placed. Then while recovering I had an infection along the incision from the bowel surgery. I had to have surgery to correct that. Then I developed fluid around the lungs called plural effusion. They discovered the fluid was infected and I had to have 2 surgeries to clean that up. I spent two and a half weeks in the hospital 8 chest tubes and 7 units of blood. I finally was strong enough to have the surgery for the cancer they removed half of the pancreas my spleen and about 6 inches of my colon. I'm doing better but it's a long recovery. Now I've taken a fall and slipped on the ice while walking my dog. I broke my replacement hip and had to have another new hip put in. I also fractured my femur bone. They had to place bands around the bone to hold it in place so it could heal. Now after having my 6 month CT scan they have found lesions on my ribs and pelvis bones. After a bone biopsy the Dr. has diagnosed me with stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer. After the PET SCAN they found the cancer is in my spine,ribs, pelvis,and several lymph nodes. It seems when it rains it pours. In the meantime I exhausted all my finances and maxed out all my cards. At 71 years old and a Marine veteran and an Air Winger losing my independence is very tough. I've sunk further into depression.

I am personally asking for financial support for him as a Veteran as well as a Good Human in this time of need.
