I never thought I’d be in a position to ask for help, but heart failure has changed every part of my life. After two years of hospital stays, ER visits, and fighting just to function day to day, I’m now recovering from Barostim implant surgery while facing serious financial strain.
My Story:
Two years ago I was diagnosed with heart failure, and life has been a constant battle since. My ejection fraction dropped to 25%, and after years of medications and treatment I’ve fought my way up to 35%. While that progress gives me hope, daily life is still extremely challenging, and even basic tasks can leave me exhausted.
Through it all, I’ve been supported at home by my loving husband Biff and our cats, who keep me company during long recovery days and remind me to keep going even when things feel heavy. Despite doing everything I could — including selling my car — being in and out of the hospital and unable to work consistently has created a huge financial strain on our household. I’ve tried returning to work, but heart failure symptoms have made it impossible right now.
I recently underwent Barostim implant surgery to help improve my heart function and give me a chance at a better quality of life. My focus is recovery, healing, and rebuilding my strength so I can regain independence and stability.
How Funds Will Help:
• Medical bills & follow-up appointments
• Medications & treatment costs
• Basic living expenses during recovery
• Cardiac Rehabilitation appointments
Any donation or share truly means more than words can express. Thank you for supporting me, Biff, and our little family as I continue fighting forward.
