Hello everyone, My friend Damon has been diagnosed with colorectal cancer, and at under 50 years old, he knows he won’t be the last. He has a long, difficult road ahead, and right now his focus is on fighting for himself, for his wife and kids. Damon recently spent a week at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where doctors discovered 23 cancer spots in his liver. Due to their number and location, surgery is not an option at this time. Instead, Damon is being considered for a clinical trial that would involve a chemo pump delivering treatment directly to his liver. If he is accepted into the trial, Damon will need to travel back and forth from home to Mayo Clinic every two weeks. While some of this treatment could be done closer to home, he has been given the opportunity to receive care at one of the best cancer hospitals in the country, and for that, we are incredibly grateful. As you can imagine, the financial burden of travel, treatment, time away from work, and daily life will add up quickly. Many people have reached out asking how they can help, and at this point, the most meaningful way is through financial support. This fundraiser is meant to help Damon and his family focus on what truly matters right now: healing, time together, and hope, not medical bills or travel expenses. Damon also wants this to be a reminder to everyone reading this: Please go to the doctor. Get checked. Get your colonoscopy. Take care of your body and what you put into it. No one should have to imagine life without their kids before they’re ready. Damon has already started changing his way of life, and he believes others can too, before they become another number. Thank you for the prayers, the love, and the support. Whether you donate, share this page, or simply keep Damon and his family in your thoughts and prayers, it all means more than words can say. Love you all. God bless.
As D always says.... NEVER DOWN, NEVER OUT.
