Many of Dammy Idowu’s friends and family have reached out wanting to support her case and her immediate release from ICE detention. This campaign has been set up to collect funds for the relentless and amazing attorneys fighting for Dammy's freedom and her permanent future in the United States.

Background: Dammy Idowu (legal name Ayomide Idowu) came to the United States legally at age six and, after a difficult childhood, received federal humanitarian protection and deferred action through January 2028 due to the neglect she suffered as a juvenile. She was homeless through most of high school, yet achieved a 4.3 GPA. She has no criminal history, graduated from college with honors, and currently works full time as a data scientist. Despite being a model citizen, she was picked up by ICE on 9/21/26 and is currently in an ICE Detention Center. For those who have met Dammy, they know she touches people quickly in every aspect of her life and improves the organizations and communities she serves.

We have retained an outstanding national legal team across multiple states fighting to secure her release from ICE, restore the federal protections she was previously granted in state and federal courts, and to do whatever it takes to help her become a permanent U.S. citizen.
