Support Damien's Family in Their Time of Need

On Tuesday, April 16, 2024, our much loved family member, Herman Damien Chandler (known to all as Damien), passed away following years of navigating various health challenges, including years of being on dialysis and awaiting a kidney transplant. Damien was a proud and loving father, a new and incredibly excited grandfather, a beloved son, a caring brother, and a cherished nephew, cousin and friend.

Sadly, his passing was very unexpected, as he’d recently recovered from an extended hospital stay and then moved in to his own, new apartment. Damien was on an upswing both health-wise, and in regards to his day-to-day living. Our hearts were full at witnessing his sincere joy and pride at all the positive changes happening in his life. You could hear it in his voice and see it in his eyes. He was smiling.

As many know, it can be quite costly and challenging for a family to lay a loved one to rest. Unfortunately, Damien passed away before securing an insurance policy on his own. And, his health complications prevented him from having steady work, where he might have had coverage otherwise. 

The family is asking for your support and help in covering the costs of Damien’s funeral and homegoing services. Our hope is that we can collectively alleviate the financial weight Damien’s immediate family (mother, sister, and children)would otherwise bear.
