Support Damien Evans Sr.'s Medical Recovery

Hello everyone,

I’m Dedra Moon and I’m creating this GoFundMe with the full support and blessing of our entire family, on behalf of my cousin, Damien Evans Sr.

Many of you, including Damien and his wife Allison, supported me through my health crisis and now I’m hoping to help Damien in his time of medical crisis.

Damien, affectionately known as Dame, is a loving husband and father. You can always find him coaching his oldest son, Damien Jr., in basketball, doing girl dad stuff like hip hop dance routines with his daughter Amaya, and goofing off with his youngest son Donnie. Dame shows up in every way for his family and right now, he needs our support during this very difficult time.

I know you’re asking, What is going on?

On October 5th, Dame experienced a severe health event that took him to the ER. He has been receiving critical care in the ICU for 11 days and is showing gradual signs of improvement. He is sedated and has been placed on a breathing tube since he arrived at the facility.

His medical team is hopeful that he will make a full recovery. Many people who love Dame have reached out offering help, love and support and that in itself, is a testament to what an incredible man he is.

As he recovers, we hope to reduce stress around the financial impact of this health crisis. While the plan of care after his ICU stay is uncertain at this time, your generosity will contribute to medical bills, time away from work and expenses related to his ability to fully heal.
