Over the past three years, I have faced the life-changing challenge of losing both my legs due to blood clots, with my second amputation happening just a month ago. Adjusting to this new reality has been incredibly difficult, both physically and emotionally. Each day brings new obstacles as I work to adapt to my environment and find ways to maintain my independence. Simple tasks have become exhausting, and getting around my home is a constant struggle. I am unable to work right now, which has made it even harder to keep up with essential bills and provide for myself and my daughter.

Most of my daily needs—like food, medical supplies, and basic living essentials—are now much harder to manage. I am in urgent need of daily living aids, prosthetics, and mobility devices to help ease some of the stress and allow me to regain some independence. The costs of these items, along with regular bills, have quickly added up. While I have a few friends and family members who help when they can, I am handling most things on my own. Supporting my daughter through this transition is also a top priority, and I want to make sure she has what she needs as we both adjust to these changes.
