On August 26th, Cole and Mireya got the diagnosis no parent wants to hear. Earlier this week they took Damian to Texas Children’s for a lump on his neck, not knowing what they could be dealing with. After tests, and imaging, their sweet 2 year old was diagnosed with Burkitt’s Lymphoma. This is an aggressive form of Lymphoma but treatable when found quickly. Cole and Mireya have three beautiful children. Big sister Sophia, Damian, and 2 month old Madelyn. Cole and Mireya welcomed baby sister less than two months ago, and had to drop everything to take care of their middle baby and tackle this challenge together. They will be doing treatment at TC for atleast 6 months. They will have many appointments and chemo treatments in the next 6 months. Mireya will be unable to return to work. We want to ease the financial burden so that is one lessthing they are weighed down by. At this time, we are rallying around our family.
