Support Damian's Battle With Cancer

Hello friends and family,

I am reaching out with a humble heart to ask for your support for a man who has always given his unconditional love to others: my father, Damian Heim Jr.

At the end of 2024, he was diagnosed with throat cancer, and in early February, he began an intense journey of radiation and chemotherapy treatments. The road ahead is daunting, but if there is one thing I know about my dad, it’s that he has always faced life’s battles with courage, love, and an unwavering commitment to family.

Though he is legally my stepfather, he has made it his life mission from the very first day I met him to provide me with his endless love and countless opportunities to create the life I wanted. Moving to the United States was one of the hardest transitions of my life, but it felt manageable thanks to Damian prioritizing being an amazing father to me as well as an incredible husband to my beautiful mother.

When I had lofty ideas, he provided me with the tools to succeed. When I failed horribly, he stood by me, offering encouragement and holding my hand on the long journey to becoming a good, caring man. When I needed him, he was always there without failure to ensure I was never alone. He is my role model, my biggest supporter, and the man I am proud to call my father.

When I set my sights on becoming the first in our family to attend college, he was the guiding force that made it possible. Thanks to his unwavering belief in me, I became a first-generation student at one of the top universities in the nation. My dad has always shown up with love, encouragement, and selflessness, qualities that exemplify the man he is and whom I undoubtedly aspire to be.

Beyond his family, Damian is a man who never hesitates to help others. Whether it’s friends, neighbors or even complete strangers, he provides a warm home wherever he goes filled to the brim with his overwhelming kindness and generosity. I am always excited to see him extend the same unparalleled fatherhood I’ve been blessed to experience to anyone else lucky enough to meet him. He has always taken care of others without ever expecting anything in return. Now, it’s our turn to take care of him.

Cancer treatments are extremely draining physically, emotionally, and financially. While he fights this uphill battle, I hope to ease the financial burden on our family so he can focus on healing. Your generous donations will go directly toward medical expenses, treatments, and basic necessities to support him during this very difficult time.
