Support Damari & Family in Their Time of Grief
Donation protected
Hello,
I am creating this go fund me to raise funds for my beautiful sister-in-law, Damari Lopez and her loving husband, my brother, Luis.
The once bubbly, full of life, spontaneous, love filled and amazing mommy and wife was diagnosed with a low Grade brain Glioma in 2014. Back then she was given 5 years to live. Miraculously, she had been with us for 10 years.
Tragically, after many rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, therapeutic and holistic medicine to keep the disease at bay, her disease progressed and has halted any progress with treatments. Her time now is limited. We are thankful the good Lord has given us more years than what was anticipated.
During the past 10 years, this little family have been survivors of the constant reminder that her time will soon come to an end. We are proud of how hard she has fought this battle. We admire how Damari and Luis have made every effort to continue to provide their children a normal, stable environment even in the midst of their fears and dread. During this precious time, they purchased their first home, raised two beautiful boys and many cats.
Unfortunately, living life on borrowed time has made an impact on their finances.
The Glioma has undergone malignant transformation and has grown significantly. Due to this, she has developed hydrocephalus, clinical decline and cognitive impairment amongst many other challenging health problems. Our strong, independent and resilient Damari is now wheelchair bound and requires around the clock care for all of her needs and limitations. Her two boys, husband and mother have felt every single ounce of her suffering.
My brother has had to stop working to care for her 24/7 and has no income at this time. He believes that God will make a way.
Her recent and rapid decline has placed their small family in a precarious financial position with little to zero resources to assist with a wheelchair ramp, safety accommodations in the home, living expenses and have made it difficult to afford the expenses for end of life care, and eventual funeral services.
We ask that you find it in your heart to donate. Your donation will help lighten their financial burden while they enjoy their limited time with Damari and grieve her.
If you are unable to, we ask that you please lift the family in prayer, most importantly for her 2 boys and husband. Please share to spread the word. Thank you so much for taking the time to read. God bless you!
