Support Dale Asay's Family in Their Time of Need

The Olympus High School Class of 1975 Reunion Committee would like your help. Our classmate, Dale Asay, was diagnosed and treated for bladder cancer in the midst of planning our 50th reunion. At that time, he said, "I may have cancer, but cancer doesn't have me." Not much was said after his initial diagnosis, and he carried on. Dale, who often referred to himself as the "the guy in the back", was responsible for sending out every email, responding to classmate questions, and countless other duties, including his performance as our formidable emcee at the Friday night event at the Marriott. None of us will ever forget Dale's words at the conclusion of our celebration that evening when he said "...What we've got here tonight has been extra special. Don't lose touch with each other. We don't know how much longer we have here..."

Eleven days following the reunion, Dale was admitted at Huntsman with an intestinal blockage. "Just another bump in the road," he texted. The cancer was aggressive and spreading quickly. Today, 72 days following the reunion, Dale is no longer receiving treatment and is on hospice at home, surrounded by his loving family.

We would like to honor Dale by helping his family with the many costs associated with his treatment, as well as the costs of the funeral. How grateful we are that we know Dale, for the reminder that we must cherish our relationships.
