Hi, my name’s Dakota. I’m 26 and finally able to go to college, but that’s currently being halted due to a few medical bills and an abusive family.

For most of my life, I have lived in an abusive household. My only escape has been education and my hobbies and friends. I have worked tirelessly to stay in college, believing that my degree is my ticket to a life of independence and peace, but with their financial abuse of me, I’ve had to put college on hold.

Because of the control my family exerts over me, I am unable to rely on most of them for help. In fact, as long as this debt is in my name, I am trapped. I cannot afford to pay it off while also paying for school, rent, and basic necessities. I have an older sibling who will let me move in with her once I’m ready as an ‘in between’ so I can save up for my own place. Every dollar I earn is already accounted for, but until this debt is cleared, I cannot afford to move out yet.

Any help would be appreciated, and any money given over the goal/after my debt is paid will go to helping me move out permanently.
