I never imagined I would be in a situation like this, but unfortunately, due to negligence from my apartment complex’s maintenance team on Monday afternoon, Dakota dislocated her right hip. Thanks to a family member and the amazing team at Veterinary Emergency Group in Cary, she was able to undergo a noninvasive procedure to try to place her hip back in position. The procedure only has about a 50 percent success rate, and sadly, it did not hold for Dakota.

Since the initial procedure failed, her only remaining option is surgery, which is estimated to cost around $4,500. I have enough funds to cover $1200 of the cost, and I know times are tough for many of us right now, but any contribution to help my poor girl would mean the world to us.

While we work to gather the remaining funds, Dakota is having to get around with her hip dislocated, relying mostly on her three good legs. She is on pain medication and anti-inflammatory treatment to help keep her comfortable, but she needs this surgery as soon as possible. Thank you so much for any help or support you can offer.
