Dakota Wayne Berry was born on December 20, 1996, and went to Heaven on February 14, 2026. Despite living with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, a rare and degenerative bone disease, Dakota lived an extraordinary life marked by faith, strength, and determination. The disease left Dakota unable to walk, and as he grew older, he lost the capacity to use his limbs and his hearing was also affected. Yet, he faced every battle with courage, a smile, and an unshakable trust in God—truly living out a hard-fought hallelujah. Dakota earned a double major in Business Management and Marketing in 2022, loved all sports (especially the Oklahoma Sooners), and dreamed big within the sports world. Above all, he was humble, selfless, and endlessly kind.

Dakota’s passing has left his parents, Michael (Mike) and Christina (Tina), and his younger brother Parker, facing not only heartbreak but also unexpected financial burdens. Parker, a freshman in college, was very close to Dakota, and the loss has deeply affected him. Mike runs his own private business, and Tina has been a full-time caretaker as Dakota’s health needs increased. With funeral costs, final medical bills, and the need to take time away from work, the family is under significant stress. They also continue to support Parker as he navigates his first year of college during this difficult time.

Today, we are asking friends, family, and anyone moved by Dakota’s story to consider donating to help support his family as they navigate these expenses. Any amount and every prayer is deeply appreciated. Your kindness will help ease their burden and honor Dakota’s remarkable life.
