Hello, my name is Daizah Vigay, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and a humble request for help. My baby and I were recently affected by the devastating impact of Hurricane Melissa. Our newly built home, something we worked so hard to create for our little family, was partially damaged in the storm.

We’ve now been without power, water, and internet for nearly a week, and conditions are becoming increasingly difficult. Food and clean clothes are running low, and I’m struggling to keep up with the cost of fuel to run our generator just to maintain basic needs for my child. Diapers and other essentials are nearly gone.

As an American citizen who moved here to build a peaceful life and raise my baby, it’s heartbreaking to see everything we’ve worked for shaken by this disaster. I’m asking for any help to help us get through this crisis and start rebuilding our lives.

We need:

* Home repairs and rebuilding materials

* Clean clothes and baby supplies (including diapers)

* Food, water, and hygiene essentials

* Generator fuel to provide light and comfort until power is restored.
