Support Daisy Scurry’s Medical Recovery

Dear Family, Friends, and Members of the Community,

I pray that this message finds you well and in a giving spirit. The Scurry and Jennings Family are reaching out to everyone with a heavy heart, a sense of urgency, and a tremendous testimony.

As few of you may already be aware, there was an unfortunate car accident that has recently occurred which has placed Daisy Scurry, a decorated and highly respected Teacher for Exceptional Children, and her boyfriend Luther Jennings in a difficult and traumatic situation.

Due to the nature of the severity of this accident, both Daisy and Luther are currently facing challenges that are impacting their ability to carry out their daily activities. They are not able to work, nor do they have adequate transportation ($7,000) at this time. These two vital necessities are essential for living in the world we are in today, and this absence has made things quite challenging for them on top of unforeseen medical bills ($18,000) while maintaining household expenses (mortgage/utilities $5,000) while the school year has end for summer vacation.

As of now, Daisy is still in the hospital receiving the necessary medical care and attention that she needs due to parts of her hands being amputated. However, Luther is doing fine, trying to creating a safe and loving environment while providing tremendous support, care, and reassurance into the love of his life. In spite of the circumstances Daisy is facing, we are grateful for Gods divine intervention, his celebrated speed, and his grace and mercy that covered her at the time of this accident. Recovery is a new and uncharted territory that they are experiencing together thus far. It has been a blessing to see them in such high spirits while in the process of trying to overcome new obstacles with such resilience and determination to begin a new life of normality.

This accident has resulted in substantial medical expenses, the need for a new reliable vehicle, and assistance with household bills/expenses while being forced to focus on Daisy’s recovery as well as maintaining a stable mental wellbeing. This unexpected occurrence has placed a significant financial impacts and burdens upon them, and any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

The Scurry and Jennings Family do understand that times are tough for many of us, and no amount is too small. Your generosity and kindness can make a significant difference in Daisy and Luther’s lives as they navigate through this tumultuous and challenging event.
