My dad was taken to the ER on Thanksgiving and has been in the ICU since.

He was taken by ambulance Thursday afternoon after suddenly losing his eyesight and becoming incoherent.

After many hours in the ER, they finally made the decision to intubate him to give his body a rest and so they can run more tests since he was having a wild array of symptoms.

He has been on a ventilator and under heavy sedation since. After scan after scan and test after test, they have diagnosed him with a condition called PRES (Posterior Reversible Encephalopathy Syndrome) and some hemorrhaging.

We are hopeful that he makes a full recovery, but due to the severity, we have a very long road ahead of us before we will know for sure.

My dad has never asked anyone for anything and never would. He would give anyone his last dollar and not think twice about it. He would honestly probably kill me if he knew I did this. I just want to be able to help take some stress off.
