On Wednesday my dad was rushed to the ER after having multiple seizures. There they eventually figured out that he had meningitis which had caused a brain infection and a blood infection. For that reason they had to put him into an induced coma so they could be run their tests and be able to work on him. On Thursday night they did surgery on his head to remove the infection on his brain. After that he was still in a coma for a few more days until Sunday when they were finally able to wake him up. At first he didn’t talk much at all only looking around and signaling things, but more recently he’s been trying to talk to say some things.

Finally we are on the road to recovery, however, one side of his body (the left side) is not currently moving at all, and he cannot feel much on that side either. He will need lots of therapy physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational.

Lots of people have been asking how they can help? Well there will be lots of medical bills in the future. My dad cannot work for at least a few months until he can do things with his left side again and my mom will not be able to work because she will need to take care of him at home full time. So I decided to make this as a way that people can help if they’d like to.

We would also appreciate lots of prayers as they begin this long road to recovery. We are thanking God that he has brought dad through but the road to recovery will be long and hard so please pray for them!
