Our family has experienced the worst tragedy in our history, an accident that has forever changed our lives, especially my father’s.

My dad, Jose Antolino, a hardworking 60-year-old man who has always done everything he can to support our family, was walking to work when he was struck by a car. He has been in the ICU for five days and has already undergone seven surgeries for devastating injuries: both legs broken, a fractured pelvis, a small vertebra fracture, rib and shoulder fractures, and multiple fractures across his face. The most serious of all, bleeding in his brain, has required several operations to drain and is still being closely monitored.

Despite the pain and uncertainty, our dad continues to fight every single day. We are holding on to hope that he will recover fully, but the road ahead will be long and difficult at my father’s age.

We also have no idea if the accident was a hit & run or if the person stopped, as local police are still investigating and have not shared the details.
