Support Dana's Lung Transplant Recovery
Donation protected
Our dad has been dealing with health issues for the past 5 years+ and we have seen him be intubated, life flighted, and hospitalized numerous times with no improvement. This past Sunday, around midnight, he got a call from the University of Minnesota Fairview saying they had a lung that was a match for transplant! Him and our mom took off around 1am, arrived around 10am, and they instantly got him admitted and started anti-rejection meds. Around 9:00pm they started the surgery and finished an hour early! The doctors, surgeons, nurses, PA's, the whole team, family, and friends, have been extremely impressed with his progress! Although he has been making huge improvements daily, there still comes the stresses of life. With that being said, bills do not stop coming. On top of current bills, they will have to rent an apartment in the cities so that he is able to get to his daily/weekly appointments. Even the smallest donation would help with daily living expenses, bills, food, gas, and living arrangements. He has a long road to recovery and will be rehabilitating in Minneapolis for at least 3 months, with our mom there to help him. Our dad would never ask for help, but, would appreciate it more than you'd ever know! We will keep you updated on his progress as we know more. We are beyond grateful for your thoughts, words of encouragement, and prayers that have been sent!
God Bless you all,
