Hi friends & family! Thank you for taking a moment to come here and consider being a blessing during an unexpectedly rough season. 

Dad had an accident while working on their property and ended up with his leg pinned and broken. Thankfully he had his phone with him and was able to call a neighbor who came with his son to dad’s aid and get him free (Thank you!). After an emergency room visit to stabilize it, he was sent home and had a follow up yesterday. He now has a new adjustable brace and walker to use. 

The doctor initially said he would be down 9-12 weeks with no weight bearing and the option of surgery. Thankfully surgery is not a requirement, but he will still be down for several weeks with no weight bearing in order to heal appropriately. As of now he will be out of work for a while and will go back in 6 weeks to check the progress of his injury healing. 

I am doing this fundraiser to help him with finances while he is out of work and to help with any medical costs his health insurance won’t cover. As you all know, for him the hardest part is going to be staying still and not pushing to do things he’s not supposed to during the time it takes to heal. It’s also hard for him to ask for something like this. 

Over the years dad has given and helped so many people. I’m hoping now in his season of healing that whoever is able to bless him and lighten the burden of financial concerns while he is down and unable to work may be able to take part in this fundraiser. We aren’t sure of the total financial burden (bills, and what the insurance does/doesn’t cover) at this time, but wanted to start at the amount posted. If necessary I will adjust it accordingly.
