Hi everyone. I am raising money for my precious daddy. He was diagnosed in 2022 with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). His liver is now failing him, and we are now in the process of taking him to Duke Hospital in North Carolina. We are hoping to get on the liver transplant list, and that, of course, is going to cost.

My mom has been off work since Dad was last in the hospital, which was in February. He was in there for 13 days and then went to rehab to regain strength. He is now home, but Mom and I are both taking care of him. Since being in the hospital, they have started him on a new liver medicine that is supposed to help his liver for the time being, but that too is expensive.

Before all this happened, my dad was actively working, spent all his time outside, raising a garden, raising birds, and loved going to the farmers market on weekends. He is the best dad and papaw to three. This disease is awful, and we hate seeing him in pain and not able to do the things he loves.
