Help Support My Dad’s Fight Against Chronic Illness
My dad is the most beautiful soul with the biggest heart. He has always been the kind of man who gives everything he has to others, even while living in pain most of us can’t imagine.
He has been battling Ankylosing Spondylitis (a form of spinal arthritis) and Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) for years. These diseases cause his immune system to attack his own body, leaving him in constant pain, swelling, and stiffness that makes even basic movement difficult and most days is crippling. Ankylosing Spondylitis specifically attacks the spine, fusing the joints over time and straining nearby organs. RA affects multiple joints and can spread to damage organs like the heart, lungs, and eyes. The inflammation his body deal with is extremely serious and harmful. Together, these conditions not only steal his sleep and mobility, but they also put dangerous strain on his body as a whole.
Despite living with this level of pain pain that would completely cripple most people but my dad gets up every day after little to no sleep and works tirelessly. He pushes through, making sure he does what he can for his kids. He survives on the most minimal treatment because that’s all he can afford, but his conditions are progressing. He urgently needs MRIs, testing, and advanced care/ possible extensive surgery to monitor and protect his body before things get any worse.
My dad never complains, never stops giving, and never stops working for those he loves but he cannot do this fight alone. He deserves relief, better care, and the chance to live without carrying so much of this burden by himself.
How You Can Help
All donations will go directly to helping my dad cover:
• Further MRIs and diagnostic testing
• Specialist visits and ongoing treatment
• Medications and therapies to manage his pain and prevent further damage
Even the smallest contribution will make a real difference in helping him get the care he needs. And if you can’t give financially, please consider sharing his story. Spreading the word means the world to us.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for helping me fight for my dad, who has always fought so hard for everyone else.
