Support Dad's Battle Against Cancer and Medical Needs

As many of you know, my Dad is a survivor of three strokes leaving him disabled and immobile. In addition to this, he is renal failure and undergoing dialysis three times a week. As if these medical burdens are not enough, he is now battling an aggressive skin cancer - Stage IV Squamous Cell Carcinoma. Dad has now undergone three surgeries in attempt to remove the cancer; the last one being the most invasive with a resection and reconstruction. He is now undergoing a fourth procedure to hopefully finish this medical puzzle piece. After this, he will start mandatory radiation treatment in hopes to stop this aggressive form of cancer from spreading to surrounding areas of his face or even his brain. With my parents being an one-income household, and having to take multiple hours away from work for hospital stays, appointments, dialysis, and soon radiation, it’s been put on my heart to ask for help. It’s been a hard long year for my parents due to all of my Dad’s snowball effect of health concerns, and now they’re facing the unknown with this new journey.

The expenses are piling up with medical bills and much needed home repairs to enhance his home-health longevity, along with his wheelchair accessible handicap van constantly breaking down. Medical supplies and medication alone are a huge expense. It’s one thing after the other, and too much for them to deal without assistance at this time. The money raised will help assist them in all of these expenses. My parents have always had the spirit of a ‘helping heart’ with others, and now it’s their turn to receive help. If it is on your heart to help, no amount is too small, and appreciated more than we can express.

We also ask that you continue praying for our family as we navigate our way through these uncharted territories. Our God has already blessed Dad by keeping him as a survivor, and showing all of us His mercy and grace. Dad’s testimony continues to shine through each day by God keeping him going. Pray for our Mom as she tries to handle so much alone and deals with her own medical issues too.
