Our hearts are broken as we ask for help for Cyrus Robles, who was involved in a devastating dirt bike accident and is now fighting for his life. In an instant, everything changed, and our family has been overwhelmed with fear, heartbreak, and uncertainty as we stand beside him through this unimaginable tragedy.
He has suffered catastrophic injuries, including broken ribs except for five, a shattered left hand that required surgery, a shattered right occipital bone, a shattered pelvis (requiring surgery), and both legs being dislocated (now relocated). His femur joint was severely damaged, requiring surgical repair and pins, with the possibility of more hip surgeries ahead. He also has a broken spine, with five vertebrae missing their spinal nodes and now compacted, along with six skull fractures.
He currently cannot move his left ankle/foot. His lung has collapsed and may require a chest tube due to air trapped around the heart. His spleen and kidney have also been compromised. He is also dealing with a brain bleed that has not progressed so far, but doctors are still closely monitoring for swelling over the next 10 days. At this time, he remains on a ventilator but is trying to breathe on his own.
The road to recovery will be long, painful, and filled with many challenges. Once he is strong enough to make it through this critical stage, he is expected to need extensive physical rehabilitation. Because of the severity of his injuries, he will be unable to work for a long time.
Right now, our biggest hope is to give him every chance to heal without the crushing weight of financial stress. We are raising funds to help cover surgeries, medical care, rehabilitation, monthly living expenses, and to help keep his vehicle from being repossessed during this already overwhelming time.
If you are able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean more than words can express. If you cannot give, please share this fundraiser and keep him in your prayers, thoughts, and heart.
Thank you for standing with us, loving Cyrus, and helping carry us through one of the hardest moments of our lives.
