Hey Friends and Family, I am reaching out with a heavy but hopeful heart to ask for your prayers, love, and support for my loving, kind, and beautiful mom, Cynthia.
My mom is in a fight for her life against stage 4 breast cancer. What began as a diagnosis in 2022 has recently become a much more urgent and serious battle. Our family is doing everything we can to help her access the care, treatment, and support she needs now.
For those who know Cynthia, you know she is Christ-centered, loving, giving, and deeply caring. She has always been the kind of person who shows up for people she loves. From visiting friends in hospitals for years, delivering grocery baskets for people in need every Thanksgiving, to even driving to Atlanta every month just to help me with my small children. She is an amazing person, mother, wife, and grandmother. She truly puts others' needs at the forefront of her heart. And now, she needs us to show up for her.
My mom has an opportunity to begin an intensive treatment plan that we deeply believe can give her the best possible chance to fight this disease with strength, hope, and dignity. The challenge is that the initial cost must be paid up front. The total needed is $40,000. This will help cover her admission, treatment, medical support, and related daily expenses during her unpaid leave from her job. These funds will also help her afford $450 monthly boxes of Pleurx drainage kits to drain the fluid from her lungs that is accumulating daily from the breast cancer.
We are asking you, our friends, our family, and our community to come together quickly and help us raise these funds. No gift is too small! Every donation, every share, and every prayer matters more than you know.
Most of all, we are asking you to pray for Cynthia's healing, strength, peace, and wisdom for the doctors and medical team caring for her. We know God can perform miracles, and we are doing everything we can to help her keep fighting.
Please consider supporting Cynthia in any way you can, whether it be a donation, sharing this link, or lifting her up in prayer. Your love and support mean more to our family than words can express. My mom's life is precious, and we are not giving up. We are standing in faith, moving with urgency, and asking you to help us give her every possible chance.
-Love Rica, the Thompson family, and the Scott family.
