Hi Help Keep Moonrise Bakehouse Open!❤️
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Susan Nelson and I am fundraising for our dear sister, Cynthia Lamb. Our fundraising team of Jennifer Johnson (sister) and Melissa Rosen (Cynthia’s dear friend) ask for your help, support and love.
Our dear Cynthia, the heart and soul of Moonrise Bakehouse, was in a serious bicycle accident last weekend resulting in multiple fractures in her left leg just below her knee and leaving her unable to work or manage her bakery for the foreseeable future. As she recovers, Moonrise Bakehouse needs help to stay open.
Cynthia launched Moonrise Bakehouse to make hand-crafted sourdough breads from freshly-milled local grains. She took a leap of faith and moved her operations from her home kitchen to a tiny storefront at the edge of Sunset Park just months before the pandemic hit. Through hard work and the unwavering support of her customers, Moonrise Bakehouse has survived during challenging times. Over the years, many more items were added to the bakery: baguettes, croissants, cookies, pastries, and more, and Moonrise Bakehouse continues to be discovered through great reviews and by word of mouth.
However, Cynthia's unexpected accident has created a significant financial strain on the Bakehouse. Without her leadership and the many baking hours she put in, the day-to-day operations will become increasingly difficult to manage. This GoFundMe campaign is our way of rallying around Cynthia and helping her keep the Bakehouse afloat while she focuses on healing and envisioning a future for Moonrise Bakehouse.
How You Can Help:
We're asking for your support to help keep Moonrise Bakehouse open during Cynthia's recovery. Your donation will go directly toward covering costs such as rent, utilities, payroll for her small team of dedicated bakers and any additional staff needed, ingredients, and other bakery costs. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference in keeping this beloved community bakery alive.
Spread the Word:
Even if you're unable to contribute financially, you can still help by sharing this campaign with your friends, family, and social networks. The more people who know about Cynthia's story and the importance of Moonrise Bakehouse to Sunset Park and and surrounding neighborhoods, the more likely we are to reach our goal.
Let's come together to support Cynthia and ensure that Moonrise Bakehouse can continue to be a beacon of joy and community in Sunset Park. Thank you for your generosity and for being a part of this journey with us.
Donate now! Any amount would be greatly appreciated!
