Help Cynthia Reclaim Her Life — and Come Home for Christmas ❤️
I’m raising funds for my friend Cynthia, a woman whose strength and resilience have carried her through more hardship than most of us can imagine — and who is finally ready for a new beginning.
I met Cynthia while volunteering at a food distribution at a homeless encampment in Broward County. When most people had left, she stayed behind. We talked. I listened. And in that quiet moment, I met a woman who didn’t need pity — she needed a chance.
Cynthia has been living in this encampment for seven and a half years.
Her story didn’t begin there.
She became homeless after the death of her mother, whom she lovingly cared for while her mother suffered from dementia. When her mother passed away, Cynthia lost not only her parent — but her home. A difficult relationship with her stepfather left her with nowhere to go. And just like that, a woman who had spent her life caring for others found herself without anyone to care for her.
Over the years, Cynthia has survived things no human being ever should. She has endured violence, sexual assault, and nearly lost her life while living in the encampment. And yet — she is still kind. Still hopeful. Still here.
Since meeting her, I’ve visited Cynthia multiple times, bringing food, supplies, and what financial help I can. But short-term help isn’t enough. Cynthia deserves safety. Stability. Dignity. She deserves to sleep without fear.
Our goal is simple but life-changing:
Help Cynthia transition out of the encampment
Secure safe housing
Reunite her with her daughter and grandchildren
Give her the fresh start she has earned
Every single dollar raised will go directly to Cynthia — toward housing, essentials, and the support needed to help her rebuild her life.
This Christmas, we have the chance to do something extraordinary.
✨ We can help make this Cynthia’s best Christmas ever — not with gifts, but with hope. ✨
If you’re able to donate, please know that anything — truly anything — makes a difference. And if you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser could change her life just as much.
Thank you for seeing Cynthia.
Thank you for caring.
Thank you for helping her come home. ❤️
