For 11 years, Cynthia Morgan has safely driven the children of North Harford, Maryland to and from school, treating her children as well as their parents with care, patience, and a deep sense of community.
Recently, Cynthia’s kindness went a step further. While on her rural route along Heaps School Road, she and a student passenger teamed up to rescue a vulnerable, injured stray kitten from the side of the road. While her heart was in the right place—teaching a priceless lesson in empathy—strict district rules regarding student oversight led to her sudden termination by the school district.
Cynthia is 67 years old, absolutely devastated by the decision, and now facing an unexpected loss of income after more than a decade of dedicated service to local families.
[The Fight to Reinstate Cynthia: Over 7,000 Signatures!]
Our community is not staying quiet. An online reinstatement petition on Change.org has exploded with support, quickly accumulating over 7,000 signatures from parents, neighbors, and supporters worldwide who believe her termination was an excessive overreaction.
Additionally, an official appeal has been filed to formally challenge Harford County Public Schools' decision. We are fighting to get this beloved face back behind the wheel where she belongs.
[Why We Need Your Help]
While the legal appeal works its way through the system and the petition continues to gain momentum, Cynthia is still completely without her income.
We are raising funds to support Cynthia during this stressful transition. Your donations will help cover her lost wages, legal/appeal-related logistics.
Whether you’re a parent whose child rode Cynthia’s bus, a neighbor who believes in rewarding human kindness, or someone touched by this story from afar, please consider contributing and sharing.
Let’s show Cynthia that compassion matters, and that our community stands together to protect our own.
Thank you for your support, kindness, and generosity!
