Support Cynthia After the Eaton Fire
Donation protected
We are reaching out to you to support our colleague Cynthia Vuguin, who has been directly impacted due to the recent Eaton fire which has destroyed her entire neighborhood in Altadena. The fire has left Cynthia displaced due to the significant damage and inhabitable conditions of the home including hazardous chemicals and debris. Considering the repairs to the home is estimated to take between 12-18 months, Cynthia is now in search of a new place to call home.
Cynthia is a dedicated member of our JPL NASA Human Resources team, and she is always ready to lend a helping hand to support others. Now, in her time of need, we have the opportunity to show our gratitude and solidarity. The aftermath of the fire has left her facing unexpected expenses, so we have started this GoFundMe to ease the financial strain and offer her the necessary support during this difficult period. Our aim is to gather funds to help with:
• Costs of temporary accommodation/new housing
• Moving expenses
• Replacing all of her personal items that have been damaged such as clothing, shoes, mattress, furniture, hygiene items, etc.
• Any extra costs she might face throughout her journey
Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a meaningful impact in helping Cynthia rebuild this new chapter in her life. If you're unable to donate, we kindly encourage you to share this page with your network to help spread the message.
A Message from her Colleagues:
Our colleague Cynthia is a wonderful person, and consistently exudes optimism and positive energy in all that she does. She consistently puts others before herself and is always willing to help her friends, family, and colleagues when they need it.
Despite being evacuated and displaced from the Eaton fire, Cynthia’s first priority was stepping up to help the Altadena community and her colleagues. Whether that was by passing out waters or creating emergency resources, Cynthia continued to put others before herself. Her determination to help those around her during this difficult time highlights her inspiring spirit, resilience, and compassion in the face of adversity.
We hope that you are able to donate to Cynthia’s GoFundMe so that she can begin to recover and rebuild.
