Meet Cymba
This is Cymba. I rescued him when he was 14 years old after his beloved pet-mom passed away. I work at Paw Commons, where Cymba was a regular, and he was loved by everyone there. He’s part Chihuahua and part Yorkie, and from the moment I got to know him, he completely stole my heart.
At the time, I already had three other rescue dogs and cats. Honestly, I wasn’t planning on adding another fur-baby — especially on my salary. It didn’t feel realistic. But sometimes love doesn’t care about plans, and Cymba became part of my family.
Now, Cymba is in desperate need of a critical dental procedure that would not only save and extend his life, but dramatically improve his quality of life. The cost of this procedure is $3,000, and despite working in pet care and doing everything I can, I simply don’t have the means to cover it on my own.
I never imagined I would be someone creating a GoFundMe, but here I am — asking for help for a dog who means the world to me. Every single dollar raised will go directly toward Cymba’s medical care. If there is any money left over, it will be donated to the Humane Society of San Diego. I also promise to keep donors updated on Cymba’s condition and provide transparent updates on how the funds are used.
I have been in the pet care business for over 10 years, and honestly, I’ve been caring for dogs and cats my entire life. I’ve rescued, fostered, and helped with the adoption of dozens of animals since I was a kid. Helping animals is who I am — and the thought of not being able to help Cymba breaks my heart.
Cymba is such a good boy. Even though he’s only been my fur-baby for a year, I love him deeply and want to give him the best life possible. The vets have said that aside from his dental issues, he is otherwise very healthy. This procedure would stop his pain and allow him to live more comfortably and happily.
If you’re able to donate, I would be endlessly grateful. And if you can’t, sharing Cymba’s story means just as much. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me help Cymba.
