A few weeks ago, my sister Cyd was involved in a serious car accident that left her car completely totaled. Thankfully she’s alive, but she was injured and has been unable to work while recovering. To make things even harder, she doesn’t have health insurance, so all of her medical expenses have had to come out of pocket.

Anyone who knows Cyd knows how hard she works, and how hard she worked to buy her first car. She’s a full-time electrical engineering student and works full-time to support herself. She has always been the kind of person who pushes through challenges and figures things out on her own, which is why asking for help is not something that she would do.

Since the accident, she’s been dealing with medical bills, lost income, and the stress of not having reliable transportation. Between trying to heal, keep up with school, and worry about everyday expenses, it’s been overwhelming.

I’m hoping to raise money to help cover some of the costs she’s facing. Medical expenses and lost wages while she’s unable to work. As well as rent, groceries, transportation and other basic necessary costs while she gets back on her feet.
