My name is Curtis Funnell. My brother, Kim Funnell, drives long-haul trucks. He was cleaning out the back of his trailer and fell out the back of the trailer to the ground. He fractured his wrist and broke several ribs. I live in Washington State, and he is in a hospital in Pennsylvania, Hershey, Pennsylvania. He is currently sedated in ICU and on a ventilator that is breathing for him. Kim is not in great shape; he has had open-heart surgery and has poor blood circulation. Kim is 64 years old. I'm his oldest brother, Curtis. I'm caught in a bad personal situation, trying desperately to sell my home in Arkansas, which is where Kim is from. I don't expect the sale of the home until spring, and I need to get to the hospital to be with my brother no matter what may happen. I'm praying he pulls through, but either way, I need to be there for him and tend to his needs. I'm very close to my brother. Please help me; he's the one family member that has been with me through thick and thin. Kim has no short or long-term disability insurance on this current job. He is a veteran of the Marine Corps, so he does have medical insurance. I'll help him with the medical bills after the sale of the house.
