My big brother, Curtis, was diagnosed with stage-three colon cancer. The tumors in his colon are too large for surgery at the moment. He will go through 5 days of radiation in an attempt to shrink the tumors. Once shrinking has been successful, he will undergo a total Proctocolectomy to remove all of the cancer. After that, he will still need to go through chemotherapy to ensure the cancer doesn't come back. All of this to say, his original diagnosis of stage one colon cancer very rapidly turned into a much worse diagnosis with a much longer route to recovery.

Curtis is the truest friend, kindest brother, and the sweetest stranger anyone could meet. Even more so, he is an incredible father to three perfect children and the husband to the most wonderful woman, all of whom he cherishes with his entire being.

While he is concerned about his health, he is most concerned about his family. This is an incredibly emotionally taxing time and financial burdens are anticipated. He is hopeful that we can raise funds to alleviate this worry for his family, as he will be missing at least three pay periods throughout his treatment, and medical bills are already coming in.

Curtis is the world's #1 restaurant manager and the best big brother. He is car-obsessed, an eclipse super fan, a Fast & Furious fanatic, and a nerdy gamer through and through. He is a joy, and to know him is to love him.
