Raising money on behalf of Curtis and Shannon Russell and family.

July 24, 2025, what started off as a routine drive to pick up family dinner ended up becoming a medical nightmare the Russell family did not see coming. While waiting for their order to be prepared Curtis Russell suffered a severe seizure and was rushed to the local Wake Med emergency room. After a CT & MRI scans were completed a mass was discovered on the liver and one in the right frontotemporal lobe of his brain. After further examination the mass on the liver has been determined to be harmless but the brain tumor will need surgical removal and possible chemotherapy & radiation which is determined by the pathology results. Curtis remains in the hospital and his surgery will take place one day next week. Unfortunately, Curtis does not have any short / long term disability and has exhausted all PTO. He is the main source of income for the household and following the surgical procedure he is expected to be out of work up to 30 days without income. Any and all contributions are greatly appreciated but your prayers are first and foremost as we know we serve a very big GOD who is already doing the impossible!!

One meaningful way we can pray together as a community is for each person to pray at 1:11 PM each day with the prayer from Colossians 1:11, that they would “be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy.” You can simply set a silent alarm for 1:11 PM to remind you to pray these big prayers for the Russell’s at that time, knowing others from the community are joining in this intercession as well.
