I’m starting this fundraiser for my 21 year old baby brother, Curtis Nelson.

Curt was diagnosed with High Risk B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on October 3rd after a whirlwind week of eye doctor appointments, labs, and a 1am “get to the hospital right now” phone call. He’s been hospitalized in Fargo since then and will begin cancer treatment tomorrow morning 10/6, starting with intrathecal (in your spinal canal) chemotherapy then IV chemo and an intense, months long clinical trial regimen to follow. His full protocol is 2.5 years long! He is determined, strong and supported by loving family and friends but he has a long road ahead. Mom and Dad haven’t left his side since his pre hospital ER diagnoses!

Curt is a hilarious and treasured son, brother, uncle, friend, and colleague to many. He loves music, big trucks, cats, video games, and worked his butt off to be a homeowner at the age of 21. He has a huge heart and an even bigger sense of humor, which he has not lost through these long days full of unknowns in the hospital.

These funds will directly support Curtis with out of pocket medical bills, travel costs, and every day living expenses.
