Curling in Kosovo exists under unique circumstances.
Kosovo currently has no curling facilities within the country. As an iceless nation, every training session, development camp, and international competition requires athletes to travel abroad. The nearest suitable curling rink is approximately 900 km away in Budapest, Hungary.
Despite these challenges, Kosovo curlers have represented the country at World Championship events, drawing international attention for what is possible when opportunity meets determination.
Why We’re Fundraising
This fundraiser is focused on supporting the next stage of curling development in Kosovo.
Funds raised will help us:
- Organize an international training camp
- Support athlete participation at European and World Championship events
- Cover travel, ice time, and training costs abroad
- Support youth curlers and new participants
- Build a sustainable pathway for long-term development
For Kosovo curlers, access is the biggest barrier and support is what makes access possible.

- Competition participation and preparation

Our goal is not one-off appearances, but consistent opportunities that allow athletes to grow and represent Kosovo internationally.

Our long-term vision is ambitious.
We aim to:
- Expand youth participation across Kosovo
- Establish regular international training pathways
- Return Team Kosovo to European and World Championships consistently
- And one day, build the first dedicated curling facility in southern Europe
These goals will take time, resources, and community support, but they begin with access and opportunity.
