Welcome all! My name is Eden Scigliano, I am the writer and director of the short film “Dizzy Dreamer”! “Dizzy Dreamer” follows a mute clown who lives inside of a joyful repetitive cycle that never changes. After receiving a disturbing phone call from a strange man, her own daydream begins to turn against her until she can no longer ignore the inescapable reality. This short is filled with psychological horror, pretty pastel colors, and spotlights the mistreatment of women from the healthcare system.

Hello, true believers! My name is Jon Koritansky, and I’m the writer/director of The C-Squad. The C-Squad is a mockumentary/dramedy about the lives of a group of mediocre C-list superheroes. We follow Arrowguy, a former big-shot superhero and member of The A-Force, who was demoted to become the leader of the league’s third-string backup team, The C-Squad, based out of Cleveland, Ohio. With an eclectic roster of misfit superheroes in tow, the team is sent on their first real high-stakes mission to prove their worth. It’s a story about the struggles of mediocrity and how we can lean on others to overcome them. It’s a love letter to the city of Cleveland and superhero stories across all media. It’s a kind of project that (to my knowledge) has never been attempted before at Cleveland State’s film school. We’d be shooting with multiple cameras in a mockumentary format (think The Office or Parks and Recreation) and using clever camera tricks and effects to capture the squad’s less-than-extraordinary superpowers. This film will also serve as a way for film students to gain experience in working on a very unique type of set! It’s an ambitious endeavor that needs your support!
