Our dear friend Crystal has been in the hospital for almost two weeks fighting a severe, unexpected medical emergency. What began as intense abdominal pain quickly turned into a dangerous infection. Doctors spent a full week trying to bring the infection down with strong antibiotics, hoping surgery wouldn’t be necessary. But when her condition didn’t improve, they ultimately had to remove one of her ovaries, and also decided to remove her appendix as a precaution to protect her from further complications. On top of this, Crystal is in a hospital in Boise; 9 hours from home!
For a moment, we all felt hopeful as she began to show signs of improvement. But just as she started to stabilize, her fever has returned — and doctors are now concerned she may be facing another infection. She remains in the hospital, exhausted, scared, and still fighting.
This situation has affected every part of Crystal’s life. She has had to put her school program on hold, and her husband Robert has been out of work because he has spent every day by her side in the hospital, advocating for her and helping her through this frightening time. While he has been by her side, his employees have been doing their best to hold down the fort in his absence, but Robert has been unable to take on any new bids or pick up new jobs during this time. With no income coming in and ongoing responsibilities piling up, their personal and medical bills continue to grow, adding enormous stress on top of an already overwhelming situation.
We’re asking for help to support Crystal and her husband with:
-Mounting medical bills and hospital costs
-Basic living expenses while they’re both out of work
-Ongoing treatment, medications, and follow-up care
-Support for Crystal when she is able to return to her school program
Anything you can give — whether it’s a donation, a share, or a kind message — will make a meaningful difference. Your support will help ease the financial pressure and allow Crystal to focus on what matters most: healing and getting home.
Thank you so much for surrounding Crystal and her family with love and strength during this incredibly difficult time.
Thank you,
Allie & Allie
