Due to the significant financial burden, we are seeking support to assist with the funeral/burial costs. On July 27, 2025, Lawrence "Pete" Milton Cook passed away suddenly due to a massive heart attack.

For those who were not familiar with him, I would like to provide some background information on his life. Many people in the town of Winthrop knew him as a friendly mechanic, a school plow truck driver, and a man with a great sense of humor. He was a huge fan of Dale Earnhardt, collected race cars, and enjoyed watching and working on cars, in addition to four-wheeling, camping, and had a deep love for his dogs, Titan, who passed away, and Monte, who was his soul mate.

He is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Missy Palmer, step-daughter Jessica, daughter Crystal Cook, and her partner, Chuck Norris, son Brandon Cook, brother Barry Cook, and his wife, Wanda, as well as his grandchildren, Tyler Poulin, Haley Poulin, Samantha Norris, and Loki Cook.
