The world was introduced to our sweet Crumpet when our team founder, Lynda Fox, bought her out of a field and trained her in the amazing sport of Equestrian Vaulting in 2010.
Crumpet has carried many vaulters, teams, and riders throughout her life. She is truly a legend in her sport.
She has also been plagued by some health challenges. She was treated at OSU for sarcoids, treatment for ringbone, and has had recurring bouts of CPL. The Steel City Vaulters and the Talarico family have provided for her medical and physical needs throughout her retirement from vaulting at her home in Pennsylvania.
Recently, the team’s current vaulting horse, Hawkeye, had to undergo surgery to remove cancerous growths from his upper and lower eyelid, as well as follow-up cryotherapy treatments. At the same time, Crumpet is experiencing an outbreak of fast-growing sarcoids on her face, ear, and udder. Despite aggressive medical treatment, surgery is being considered as the growth of the sarcoids seems relentless.
The team is humbly asking for donations to help fund the surgery needed to remove the sarcoids and help Crumpet continue to enjoy her retirement, her kids, and her team.
The team will greatly appreciate any amount you would be able to donate.
