Support Crowterre Equestrian's Tornado Recovery
Donation protected
Crowterre Equestrian, located in Celina Texas was hit by a strong tornado in the middle of the night on Sunday. Tragically several horses didn’t survive the storm and many needed immediate veterinary care.
We lost our Pepe, who was a fun, sweet, spotted mountain horse and the light of his owner’s life. Lincoln was a loving senior who was owned by a Vietnam Vet. SallyAnn was a gorgeous Arabian, who was just getting started with her young owner. Zena was enjoying his retirement at the farm, after being a fabulous teammate to his owner in the hunter ring.
Currently, Silver is fighting for his life after a very serious injury to his front leg and to his eye and face. Silver is a curious and playful boy and his mom’s first horse. He is needing around the clock nursing care and has a long road to recovery ahead of him.
Silver, Pepe, Lincoln, SallyAnn, and Zena could use your support to help cover their veterinary care costs and cremation/burial.
Our barn family has pulled together to support one another through this tragedy and we’d love for you to be a part of our journey and family too.
These funds are being raised by Mallory Studer (owner of Crowterre Equestrian) and will go directly to support the horses affected by this tragedy.
update: we have reached our goal for the extended veterinary care that will be needed for Silver and the burial, cremation, and veterinary bills of those that we lost. Now our needs have shifted into making the property safe for the horses. We have had hundreds of volunteers out to help. We are going to have to replace fencing, roofing of houses on the property and the barn, new loafing sheds, continue with tree breakdown and removal. We also would like to create a memorial space for those that lost their precious four legged best friends to be able to come to the property and sit with them. Our needs keep changing and amplifying, as we are having continued storms hit us, even at this very moment.
