Hello, my name is Emmy Argo and I am a Board Member of Crossroads
Christian Counseling Center here in Macon, GA. I want to speak to you briefly
about a great need in our local community. For 26 years, Crossroads Christian
Counseling Center has been serving the mental health needs of our beloved
citizens from a Christ-centered perspective in a small building on Pierce
Avenue. Over the past several years the need for counseling services has greatly
increased in middle Georgia, and our ministry has outgrown it’s current facility.
After months of prayer and seeking God’s will for the direction of Crossroads, we
were blessed, by His providence, with the opportunity to purchase a building in
a prominent location on North Avenue.
As a non-profit organization, the only way we will be able to complete our project is by
raising the funds needed through grants and the generosity of the citizens of our
wonderful community. With your help, we will be able, for the first time in our
history, to own our own building, make the necessary renovations to best support
our clients, and allow our clinicians and counselors the space they need to
expand our reach throughout middle Georgia.
It is our deeply held belief here at Crossroads that mental health is more than just
a matter of the mind, but also of the soul and spirit. We know that according to
God’s Word in 2nd Timothy that “the Lord does not give us a spirit of anxiety or
fear, but a spirit of power, of love, and of a sound mind.” I can speak on behalf of
the board that we cling to this truth as we shepherd Crossroads through this
transition. And though we serve people of all beliefs, we certainly know well the
healing power of faith-based counseling. Will you partner with us to offer help, a
compassionate ear, and a hopeful way forward to those in need in Middle GA? No

North Avenue and it’s our hope and prayer that you will come alongside us in
our efforts to improve the lives of so many... of children, teens, families,
