Hi and thank you so much for taking a look at our GFM. My husband and I are huge animal lovers. We have 3 dogs and 4 inside/outside cats, mostly inside but they like to sunbathe. Back in 2019, we found a tiny kitten hiding near our chicken coop. I spent over an hour in the rain trying to catch him. We thought he looked like a baby raccoon and named him Critter. A couple of days later, we found his brother in our coop crying for Critter. Critter is the sweetest cat ever, and I can count on one finger how many times he’s even hissed at us. Even the vet's office is so shocked at how mild-mannered he is, even while in extreme pain/discomfort.

A couple of weeks ago, we noticed Critter was limping, and that’s when we also spotted his paw pad was about double the size it should be. We were able to quickly get him to the vet, where they were able to drain and flush it. He was then given antibiotics and pain meds. That happened on a Friday. By the following Wednesday, his whole paw pad was gone. Our vet was able to get him into surgery very quickly, where he sutured the pad closed. We were instructed that day to leave his bandage on until Sunday, 6/15. We noticed immediately it was oozing and smelled. I reached out to our vet over our concerns and are still waiting to hear back. At this point, we are unsure if Critter will get to keep his leg or not. Between draining the abscess and surgery, we have spent about $900 in vet bills already. We are nearly maxed out on our CareCredit card, unfortunately, and if he needs more work done, we will need help. As of now he is scheduled for surgery again Monday morning. 

Critter is still a relatively young cat and we want to improve his life by any means necessary. Anything helps thank you
