Hello Everyone,

My name is Jaimee Perez and I'm raising funds for my husband, Cristobal Perez. He's a wonderful life partner of 16 years and a great father to his amazing three-year-old daughter. He's an extremely hard worker who cares about people deeply. He'll always make you feel seen and heard and let you know that you matter in the world and in God's eyes. His work ethic is unmatched and lets his work speak for itself. He's battled a lot in life to get to the position he's in while bringing others up with him along the way.

Unfortunately, since 2019, he's been battling an invisible-to-the-eye disease. He was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. UC is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease that causes inflammation and ulcers in the lining of the large intestine (colon) and the rectum.

Since turning 25, he's been in and out of the hospital trying to get this disease under control. Countless medications and hospitalizations later, he now, at the age of 31, has to have a full colectomy (full removal of the colon). His body has had enough and surgery is the only option to give him a shot at a good quality form of life. Due to the delicate nature of his health and how advanced his disease is, he needs to have three separate procedures to remove the damage and restore his body to "as good as it can get" condition.

As you can imagine, major surgery comes with a list of complications. The rate for complications is 30% for each surgery with a major risk of becoming septic and not healing properly.

The funds being raised through this platform will help pay for any medical bills to come from his three procedures as insurance will only cover a portion of it and will give him peace of mind through recovery time that bills will be paid on time.

We truly appreciate all the love we've received as a family through this difficult time as we get ready for an even rougher time. We're hoping to come out of this even healthier and stronger and ready to tackle work or any endeavors to come.
